I may be a bit paranoid but better safe than sorry. I am using SDelete to delete some confidential files from my hard disk before my PC gets recycled. I have found that I have backed up a few of these to One Drive and I want to be sure that these are securely deleted from One Drive as well my hard drive as I have no way of knowing what might happen to the One Drive disks in the near future.
It seems to me the easiest way to handle this is if SDelete has a switch that would cause it to overwrite the local files with its destructive pattern WITHOUT actually deleting them. One Drive would then sync the garbage data up to the server and once this has happened I can then delete the files from both locations knowing that the data was truly gone.
