Biography
Entered IT as an IBM Assembler programmer in 1965 from Loughborough University of Technology, progressing to systems programming on ICL System 4 computers before working at ICL on 2900 VME OS development as a designer/implementer in both S3 & SFL assembler. Subsequently, Storage Consultant with Plessey & Philips on Office Automation projects, developer on multi-lingual Electronic Mail project supporting diverse language keyboards & computers at European Commission in C/C++, and UNIX Open Standards consultant for several clients (3 years). Now retired from I.T., running home network with Microsoft Server, Windows 7 professional h/w RAID desktop & Windows 7 home premium laptop. Interests include digital photography, sailing, cycling, classical music & gardening.
