Biography
Jamie has been working as a technical writer for over twenty years, beginning as a software support engineer and trainer at the Boeing Commercial Airplane company. After 14 years at Boeing, she started writing computer-based traning courses at Catapult, and then in 1998, became a Senior Technical Writer at Microsoft. Jamie has a business degree from the University of Washington, and has taught database classes for small, medium, and large enterprise customers. She has co-authored Resource Guide books for Microsoft Server products, published Commerce Server Red Books, and written a number of whitepapers for the IT Pro audience. She was awarded the Microsoft Gold Star in 2006 for a comprehensive Data Protection Manager Walkthrough Guide that was used in Hands-on-Labs and Web Casts across the country. She is currently a Technical Writer on the SQL Server Solutions documentation team.
