Forum Moderation Guide: Responsibility

This page is part of the Moderating Microsoft Forums series.

Being a moderator is a true privilege and carries with it certain responsibility. Everyone who is granted moderator privileges in a Microsoft forum is expected to follow the guidelines set forth in this document. Moderators are responsible for “policing” the forums, but usually answer questions in their respective disciplines as well. An example is a Windows Desktop Experience MVP who is a moderator in a Windows 7 forum is likely to answer questions as well as moderate the forum. Microsoft may remove moderator privileges from anyone who does not adhere to the guidelines set forth in this document.
