1

You can install first the prerequisites, but they are the same as SharePoint Server prerequisites, but to be sure, execute it.

You can get this kind of error if you try to install a trial version MS Project on a valid license SharePoint Server..

When MS Project accepts the trial key, check the "I accept the terms of this agreement" and click "Continue"

You should, I think choose for a different store location, but I could not, so just click on "Install Now"

And the installation will begin.

Something again very similar to SharePoint :).. Real experts now's what it is .. Check the box and close ..

Next ..

It will automatically fill all the information for you, just click Next ..

And Finish, this means that your MS project has been installed on your SharePoint Server

2 Configuration MS Project on SharePoint

Now we are going to configure our install on SharePoint. Therefore you need to go Services on Server at the Central Administration.

Be aware and sure that the Project Application Service is started.

The second step is to create a Service Application "Project Server Service Application"

Fill the following:

Project Web App service application name: GokMania - MS Project ServiceApp
Application pool name: AppPool_MsProject
Managed Account: GokMania\svcAppAcc_SPProject

Your Service Application will be created. Click on it, and now we are going to configure it.

Click on "Create Project Web App Site"

Fill the following as your wish..

When you have configured everything as it is, you should wait a few moments before seeing "Provisioned"

Now you can surf to your Web Application and see the most beautiful Project Server .. Happy visiting..

  • I don't know which role your account SPFarm has, however, it shouldn't be farm account. Rather SetupUser or account specific for the purpose.

Maybe a reference for required services to run for Project?
