Do you have a great idea for how to improve the experience of running SQL Server on Windows Azure Virtual Machine? Well by all means share it with us! It's easy, just go to http://bit.ly/sqliaasideas and submit your feedback!

How To Submit a Bug

If you think you have encountered a bug while running SQL Server in a Windows Azure Virtual Machine, this section will show you how to notify Microsoft by submitting a bug.

Step 1: Register with Microsoft Connect

Microsoft Connect is used by the SQL Server team to collect product feedback like bugs and suggestions from customers. If you are already registered with Microsoft Connect, you can skip this step.

1. Open your browser and navigate to http://connect.microsoft.com/
2. Sign in with a Windows Live Id
3. Fill out and submit the Microsoft Connect registration.

Step 2: Join SQL Server Connect

In order to submit feedback for SQL Server, you must first join SQL Server Connect. If you have already joined SQL Server Connect, you can skip this step.

1. Open your browser and navigate to http://connect.microsoft.com/
2. Sign in with a Windows Live Id
3. Click on Directory and search for SQL Server
4. Find the public SQL Server Connect program and click Participate as shown here:
   

Step 3: Submit a Bug

1. Open your browser and navigate to https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback
2. Sign in with a Windows Live ID
3. Enter a description of the bug in the Search box as shown here:
   
4. Click on the Search icon as shown here:
   
5. Review the list of bugs to see if if the same bug has already been submitted by someone else.  If the same bug has already been submitted you should vote for it instead of submitting a duplicate.  If the same bug does not exist, click Submit Feedback as shown here:
   
6. Fill out the bug form with as much detail as possible so your bug can be reproduced.  Make sure to choose Windows Azure Virtual Machine in the Virtualization field as shown here:
   
7. Click Submit
8. Make a note of the Feedback ID associated with your bug as shown here:
   
9. Email your Feedback ID to sqldevx@microsoft.com so we can track it.
