Small Business Server Best Practice Analyzer - Explanation of Alerts and Issues
<in progress>

If you run the www.sbsbpa.com on your SBS 2008 server you may get several alerts.

Some of these alerts should be fixed, some can be ignored.

Alerts to ignore:

1.  "The host (A) resource record points to the incorrect IP address 10.0.0.1510.0.0.114. The record should point to 10.0.0.15".

The reason for this alert is that you have a VPN connection on the network or have previously set one up.  The BPA reads both the server IP and the VPN connection and does not proper report this A record.  Ignore this if you see it in your Best Practice Analyzer report.  Please note that the IP addresses will be the IP address of your server and one other IP in your network.
