Unified Dimensional Model

Definition

The Unified Dimensional Model (UDM) is the model for data in a SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) database. The UDM is unified because it combines data from multiple relational databases into a single place and a single model. The model describes its data using dimensions, hence it is a dimensional model.
