Some people find templates helpful when creating Wiki articles. This one is intended to help those writing test lab guide (TLG) extensions content, in which you can describe how to configure additional functionality or advanced or uncommon configurations based on a working test lab, either the Base Configuration test lab or a test lab based on a modular TLG.

This template is a work in progress, please add to it.

Feel free to copy/paste the template below into your TLG extension Wiki article to help get you started. It is a best practice to leave an area that you cannot currently fill in blank. This way others can fill it in if they have the information. This is called "stubbing" on the wiki.

Test Lab Guide Extension Template

<Describe the content in the article and the functionality that it demonstrates.>

Note  These instructions are designed for a working <technology/product> test lab that has been configured based on the instructions in the <link containing the name and location of the technology/product test lab> document.

If you are running the <technology/product> test lab in a virtual environment, you can create snapshots of the virtual machines (VMs) for all of the test lab computers before performing the following procedures.

Configuring and Demonstrating <functionality>
<Describe how to demonstrate the functionality of the technology or product before making configuration changes (a step-by-step procedure and a quick summary of the result), how to configure the test lab for the new functionality (one or more step-by-step procedures), then how to demonstrate the intended functionality of the technology or product after making configuration changes (a step-by-step procedure and a quick summary of the result and how it differs).>

If you are running the <technology/product> test lab in a virtual environment, you can discard the changes made by these procedures by restoring the previously made snapshots of the VMs for all of the computers in the test lab. Alternately, if you would like return to a working <technology/product> configuration with <functionality> enabled, you can create a new set of snapshots before restoring the previously made snapshots.

To manually restore the configuration of the <technology/product> test lab, perform the following procedure.

Restoring the <technology/product>Test Lab
To restore the <technology/product> test lab to its original configuration:

<Describe how to manually restore the configuration of the <technology/product> test lab to its original state (a step-by-step procedure).>
