If you regularly use the command prompt, you can pin it to the Start menu and the Taskbar. If you pin it to the Taskbar, it’ll appear next to the Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, and Windows Media Player shortcut links on your Taskbar. This makes it easier to access when you need it. To pin it to the Taskbar or the Start menu, do the following steps:

  • Click Start, type cmd in the Start Search box, right-click CMD, and choose Pin To Taskbar.



The result is shown in the following figure:



  • Click Start, type cmd in the Start Search box, right-click CMD, and choose Pin To Start Menu.
