If you want to give a Permission for a User to Create a Root PF folder
RBAC doesn’t have that option , so we got to give that manually in Active Directory
Lets say am using OWA to Create Public Folder (PF)
Create New Folder – > Mail folder
You will end up with this Error while Creating Public Folders
Error : You don’t have permission to Perform this action
Logon to Adsiedit.msc
Configuration Container CN=Configuration, DC=Domain_Name,DC=com CN=Services CN=Microsoft Exchange CN=Your_Organization_Name CN=Administrative Groups CN=Your_Administrative_Group_Name
CN=Folder Hierarchies
Right Click on CN=Public Folders – Properties
Click on ADD – Type the User you want to add – Click ok
Create Public Folder “Allow”
Create Top level Public Folder “Allow”
Apply & ok
Now User able to Create Top Level Public Folder (Root Public Folder Tree)
Great !!
