Dieser Post soll als Sammlung von Fakten dienen, welche den Einstieg in die Entwicklung von Windows8 Modern UI Apps moeglichst schmerzfrei gestalten soll. Dies ist in den Grundzuegen eine FAQ aus dem Forum des Windows8 Student Developer Clubs.

Allgemein

  1. Du brauchst ein installierstes Windows8 zur Entwicklung dieser Apps.
  2. Windows8 bekommst du meist gratis via Dreamspark. Bei Fragen zum Angebot ist deine Uni / Schule zustaendig
  3. Du brauchst eine Microsoft IDE zur Entwicklung. Kostenfrei (VS Express), oder via Dreamspark (VS Ultimate).
  4. Ein mit VirtualBox virtualisiertes Windows8 bereit desoefteren Probleme bei der Entwicklung.
  5. Achte auf die Bezeichnungen von Windows8 wenn du Tutorials durcharbeitest. Releasestaende oft nicht kompatibel.

Store

  1. Du brauchst als Entwickler eine Kreditkarte.
  2. Prepaid-KKs werden nicht akzeptiert.
  3. Die Freischaltung deiner App kann sich ueber mehere Tage hinziehen.
