This topic describes how to access, modify, and view your profile including avatar, shared information, friends, recent activity, favorite content, and your profile blurb.
In this article:
Your profile is your hub of personal and shared information. It is always available to view and modify. It is the place where you and others can see the recognition system: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/ff395928.aspx#_Recognition_System
To access your profile:
Think of your avatar as a window into some aspect of your personality, hobbies, technical skills or passions, interests, humor -- whatever makes you you. When you first join the TechNet Wiki community, you are assigned a generic avatar. The generic avatar is very generic and provides no insight into the you behind the display name.
Choose an avatar! It can be a location, a favorite character, interesting object, hobby, old yearbook photo, virtually anything that reflects some aspect of you. Just make sure it does not run afoul of the Code of Conduct or you may be sanctioned or banned.
To assign or change your avatar picture, see How to Change Your Avatar.
