Office: problems with the old files regarding the protection.

The very old versions of files created with Office could be dangerous. Office opens them by reporting an error message, which is nothing other than a security alert.
To manage this control, when you're in Word or Excel, go to the menu "File / Options / Trust Center."
Then click on the "Trust Center Settings" and moved to "Settings file types".
From here you can check, and disable any locks on old versions of files.
