ISSUE: Attempts to use SSPR registration or reset portals fails with the following error.

An error has occurred. Please try again, and if the problem persists, contact your help desk or system administrator. (Error 3000)

 

CAUSE: Incorrect IIS authentication settings.

 

RESOLUTION: Set the correct IIS settings.
