Copy: tdadm operation

Operation name: copy

This operation will copy selected telemetry events to new database. All other associated data will also copied. This operation required blank Telemetry Dashboard database by installing Telemetry Processor if you are coping for the first time.

Notes:

The destination database must be empty, or it must have been populated only by using the copy or move operation from the same source database.
If you add data to the database using any other mechanism (such as running the Telemetry Processor directly against the destination database), then you will no longer be able to use it as the destination database in a copy or move operation.
If you run the cleanup operation against the source database, you will no longer be able to use it as the source database to copy or move data to an earlier destination database.

Parameters

Parameters	Value	Required?	Description
databaseserver	A valid database server name, such as "Server1", where named instances are used; the format may appear as server\server	No	Database server that hosts Telemetry Dashboard database. Note: If database server name is not specified, it will use the default (unnamed) instance on the local server.
databasename	A valid Telemetry Dashboard database name, such as "DB1"	Yes	Name of the Telemetry Dashboard database to copy data from.
