Operation name: settings

This operation will change the Telemetry Dashboard settings stored in the database.

Syntax

tdadm.exe

-o settings

[-databaseserver <servername>]

-databasename <database name>

Parameters

Parameters	Value	Required?	Description
databaseserver	A valid database server name, such as "Server1", where named instances are used; the format may appear as server\server	No	Database server that hosts Telemetry Dashboard database. Note: If database server name is not specified, it will use the default (unnamed) instance on the local server.
databasename	A valid Telemetry Dashboard database name, such as "DB1"	Yes	Name of the Telemetry Dashboard database.
includebuiltin	Either one of the following values: TRUE FALSE The default value is FALSE	Yes. Includebuiltin, threshold, usesnapshot, or view is required.	Specifies whether you want to calculate stability in Overview worksheet with builtin files (TRUE) or not include (FALSE).
threshold	A valid number 0 to 3 (or to a larger value, if you want) The default value is 0	Yes. Includebuiltin, threshold, usesnapshot, or view is required.	Specifies the threshold number. See also How to configure privacy settings in Telemetry Dashboard
usesnapshot	Either one of the following values: TRUE FALSE The default value is TRUE	Yes. Includebuiltin, threshold, usesnapshot, or view is required.	Specifies whether you want to increase performance in Telemetry Dashboard 3-, 6-, 12-months data range view by creating snapshot once a day (TRUE) or always want to have real time data no matter what performance is (FALSE).
view	<none>	Yes. Includebuiltin, threshold, usesnapshot, or view is required.	Lists current Telemetry Dashboard database settings
