Windows 8: Disable the Live Tiles

On the Start screen of Windows 8, some tile such as news, travel and photos, are animated and show moving images.
Although it may be nice on a visual level, it can create confusion and distract from work.
 
To disable the animations of the tile, simply click on a specific tile with the right mouse button and click "Disable live tile".
