Error: There was a Program Verifying the Certificate from the Server

Error: There was a program verifying the certificate from the server.
Issue: User is unable to login on Lync and receives the error message listed above.
Problem Statement:
Certificate verification error means it is not allowing for authentication. Client will not authenticate.
Download the certificate from Edge server ‘Root Certificate’ and update on affected client computer.
Follow below steps to update the certificate.
1.     Open the MMC console > click on File and then Add / Remove snap-ins.
2.     Click the ‘Certificates’ and ‘Add’ then select ‘Computer Account’ and click on OK to add certificate.
3.     Then expand the Certificate and expand ‘Trusted Root Certification Authorities’ and right click select ‘All task’ and click on ‘Import’.
4.     Click on ‘Next’ browse the path of certificate. (.cer file)
5.     Click on ‘Next’  and select ‘Place all certificate to following store’
6.     Certificate store: Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
7.     Click on ‘Next’ and ‘Finish’.
8.     Pop up window asks you for the certificate installation, say ‘Yes’
9.     You will receive message for successful Import.
10.  Click OK to complete the process.
