Adding URLs with Spaces to Search Scope Rules

Hi,

Just decided to post a quick article on this as I couldn't find anything to resolve it when I went looking and it took a while

Recently worked on an issue where certain search scopes were not returning the expected amount of values. On investigation I noticed that certain rules within the scope were returning no items. The rules failing all had spaces in the URLs being used, replacing the URL with %20 as the IE browser does did not seem to resolve the error. The search scope compiler requires a seperate encoding for spaces of %2520.

Hence http://myportal/sites/document%20library in the browser
needs to be altered to http://myportal/sites/document%2025library when added as a scope rule.
