Following the upgrade of a SharePoint environment to SharePoint 2010 Products, you may not be able to see the Reporting Services icons on several of the Web pages. For example, the document library context menu you see for a report will list the right-click menu options but most of the icons will look like empty squares. The cause of this issue is insufficient permissions on the folders that contain the icons. This is known to occur while you are upgrading to SharePoint 2010 and not selecting to install the SQL Server Reporting Services Integration as part of the SharePoint prerequisite installer.
Update the permissions of the ReportServer and if it exists, the lg_ReportServer folder.
The folders are found under \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\IMAGES.
Add or update the Users group so the following permissions are enabled:
Fernando Lugão Veltem edited Revision 2. Comment: added toc
Craig Lussier edited Revision 1. Comment: added en-US to tags and title
Ed Price MSFT edited Original. Comment: Updated the title case and added a horzontal line rule.
