After a few minutes, clicking the Windows start menu and Virtual PC, users will see a folder with the package name installed and the applications that are published on the MED-V.

To accompany the initial settings, click Start> All Programs> Windows Virtual PC. There will be a virtual machine with the package name. Double-click the virtual machine and check the initial options. After finalizing the virtual machine shuts off automatically.

In the example below the package name is Windows XP Compatibility Applications and there are two legacy software: Media Player Classic and ICQ Lite. The user can run the file through a shortcut on the desktop as well.

Note that the end user has no interaction with the virtual machine. Applications are drawn from the virtual machine and presented, providing a friendly interface for use.

To install new software you can use a GPO or System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2. These two options are possible once the virtual machine MED-V is in the Active Directory domain. Otherwise, you can also install manually.

For applications that appear in the start menu you need to copy an application link within the virtual machine in the path C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu.
