So, the Management Studio download is a subset of the full SP1 download and SP1 will update both or do we have to run both?
BoatSeller,
You can just leave SSMS and run the SP1 to update both. Thanks!
In article (support.microsoft.com/.../958734) in section: (Installing SQL Server 2008 rolling updates on a failover cluster" (1), the command: cluster.exe resource “SQL Network Name (SQLVS1)” /listofowners > c:\SQLVS1_list_of_owners.txt; Switch /listofowners doesn't exists on "Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Service Pack 1" the switch is /listowners.
This an extremely confusing SP1 update. I have SQL 2008 R2 installed already, everything looks like it wants me to perform a new installation of SQL 2008 R2. Where is the button that says "update to SP1"???
