Message

This application caused a delay in the system shutdown process:

     File Name    :           <executable name>

     Friendly Name :        <application friendly name>

     Version        :           2007.0100.2531.00

     Total Time                :           nnnn.ms

     Degradation Time     :           nnn.ms

     Incident Time (UTC)  :           ‎2011‎-‎05‎-‎31T13:03:06.081240100Z

Cause

This event is thrown when an application causes a delay during the Windows shutdown process. This delay could be caused by operating system services,   3rd party software issues or conflicts with the operating system.    

User Action

-          Check with the 3rd party software company to determine if this issue is known and

          if an update is available which addresses this issue

-            Boot in Safe Mode and then Shut down. Problem go away?  

-          Disable the software executable detailed in the event message.    Shut down to determine if the problem goes away
