Last week when I tried to install the ConfigMgr 2007 client on a Windows Server 2008 SP2 x86 machine I’ve seen the following errors in ccmsetup.log. The client was not installed and the ccmsetup process was blocked.

It was an IP v4 network. After many troubleshooting actions, I found that the IP v6 was unchecked in the NIC of the Windows 2008 machine. When I selected it and retried the client installation everything gone WELL !!! I’ve not seen this issue with 2008 R2 nor Vista/7.
