Using a PlayStation works. However, having just got an Xbox, I have found that everything is much simpler and smoother.  I strongly recommend using a home server for movies especially.

  • You need a good DVD Ripper to put the movies you own on the server for backup
  • Xillisoft is easy to use for this purpose, but it isn't free.
  • Finally, you connect the server to your computers and your Xbox to automatically back up the files. Then you can start watching all of your movies.
