A community is about helping each other and sharing information. One method to share information and also to collaborate with others in a community is to write a Wiki article.
For ILM, you can already find a collection of helpful articles on the Wiki site.
To improve the discoverability of your wiki article, you should post an announcement of it to the ILM forum. Here is an example for this.
On this forum, we track all announcements on the ILM Experts Corner Catalog Page. The catalog page also includes other ILM expert articles, besides wiki, eg. Technet Magazine.
The objective of this post is to let you know how to post an announcement of your Wiki or external article and how to ensure that your article will be added to the ILM Experts Corner Catalog Page.
To make the process of announcing your new article as simple as possible, you can use the ILM Wiki Post Template from the Templates folder on the ILM Experts SkyDrive.
In the section on customizing the template, we will explain how to use the template.
If you have created/published an ILM Expert article, which is not a Wiki, you should use the another template from the Templates folder on the ILM Experts SkyDrive.
In the template, you need to do update the link information. You can do this by using a HTML editor such as Expression Web or even notepad.
To post your announcement, you perform the following steps:
As soon as you have posted your announcement, you should send an email that includes a link to your announcement post to the ILM Experts Corner mailbox.
This allows us to add the experts article to the catalog.
