Overview

SQL Server Replication is Microsoft's set of technologies for copying and distributing data and database objects from one database to another, including options for synchronization, and is provided with SQL Server.  Replication can be used to distribute data to different locations and to remote or mobile users over LANs, WANs, dial-up connections, wireless connections, and the Internet.  Types of Replication include Snapshot Replication, Transactional Replication, and Merge Replication.
